Fernanda Mello
Fernanda Mello - Fernanda was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the 12th largest city on earth. It is the most populous city in Brazil, the Americas, and in the Southern Hemisphere. She grew up on a farm in the outskirts of the city with her parents and her two sisters. She is the youngest of the three girls.
Her father was a trained engineer but his love for horses persuaded him to move away from Sao Paulo and leave to live on a farm to follow his passion. As a young child, she had a typical farm life childhood. She was surrounded with animals and acres of fruit trees. She spent her time playing outside and tending to all the animals. At 16. she discovered surfing and that was it. She fell in love with the ocean on her first glide. Every weekend she would hitch a ride with her friends to drive two hours to the nearest beach. They would spend the entire day playing in the ocean until dark. It was then, that the surfer in her was born. She received her degree in nutrition and worked for eight years as a nutritionist in Sao Paulo. After those eight years, she decided it was time to move to sunny Southern California in search of waves, sunshine, and new experiences. While she was living there, she found her second passion for cooking and baking. This eventually led her to create her own blog, where she currently shares her love for food and other health related tips. At the same time, she fell in love with her current husband who happened to be a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It seemed natural for her to step on the mat and try the "Gentle Art". Everything she does she commits 100% and she gives it her all. Together, they both travel the globe in hopes of spreading their passion for jiu-jitsu, nutrition and mindful living. Kekoa Collective is honored to introduce Fernanda Mello as our Agent of Change. You can discover more about Mello by following her on her Nutrition Blog and Instagram.

A lot of things, I guess. But mostly how power is managed in all kinds of societies. It's sad, but it's all related to power. Power creates corruption in all ways.
